I Needed This...

Don't get me wrong, I have the perfect work at home situation, that I am grateful for everyday. But every once in awhile, all the stars align to make me have a rough day! It usually has a lot to do with the 2yr old not taking a nap, the 8mo. old whining and only wanting to be held and a deadline i have to make by late afternoon! So, when my lovely hubby got home, I headed straight up here:

As I was enjoying my soak, I couldn't help but dream of my new bathroom that the before mentioned lovely is making me next to my newly re-done studio (more on that soon). It's in the pretty rough stages right now, demolition has just been finished, floor and all. This is the last room in our home that is getting some TLC and I am so excited about it! Here it is today, use your imagination on this one!
The floor:
And my walk-in shower: So, as I soak in a 4' claw foot tub that I barely fit in, I am going to sleep tonight with dreams of a jacuzzi tub dancing in my head...

Look What I Found!

This past weekend my sister was visiting and we went to some antique stores. There were several stores in a 5 mile strip not too far from my house, but we only made it to three of them! Time got the best of us, I guess. I have been on a mad search for old vintage jewelry. For what, you ask? For Party Hats, I say. But not the same old paper mache party hats, I tell you...Glass ones! Yep, you heard right- glass! Now, try hard to imagine a 2D party hat (to hang on the wall) leaded and decorated with trims, jewels and other pretties. What a fun, fun different gift. These will be in my Etsy store, along with other fun things. I am hoping that I can have enough pretties made to open the shop on April 1st. That is my target date right now. So, until next time, here's some jewels I got on my outing and a sneek peek to the Glass Party Hats!!

Welcome To My World...

I have been so creativly inspired by so many beautiful blogs out there, (I have been a lurker for quite some time) that I have finally decided to give it a go! My grandmother (Happy 91st Birthday, Grandma!) told me a long time ago "If you have something to say, say it!" so, here I am. Saying all I have to say. Doing all I have to do. I hope that somewhere along this blog that someone might be inspired by something I say, create or do... I'll leave you with my latest project!

Before... Brass chandelier that was in our home when we moved in.

After... A little paint, new cord, new socket covers, some crystals and a pretty paper & wood medallion!
